JEDDAH, September 1, 2017 – Guests of the Ministry of Culture and Information who are currently in Makkah to perform Hajj offered praise to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its extensive efforts to host and serve more than two million pilgrims, and also praised The Ministry of Culture and Information (MOIC) for creating a world-class media center that enabled them to share news updates of Hajj with the world.
Those who had the opportunity to perform Hajj, the fifth pillar of Islam, also credited the efforts of H.E the Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Awad al Awwad, for providing journalists with all necessary technical support and equipment needed to complete their tasks with utmost effectiveness.
DMC TV correspondent Mr. Omar Khalil, who is also performing Hajj, praised MOCI for the warm welcome he and other pilgrims received upon arrival, as well as for all the organizational efforts that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has put into welcoming Muslims from all around the world to this annual pilgrimage. Khalil added that he was deeply moved by the peace and unity he has witnessed during his Hajj experience, and said that he hoped all pilgrims would get a chance to tell their personal story during Hajj upon their return home.
In addition, Engineer Abd El-Rehim Soliman Ahmed also praised the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their enormous efforts and achievement in hosting Hajj this year, noting that he expected his level of efficiency in operations and services given the Kingdom’s heritage in hosting this annual event and the amount of investments made in infrastructure projects, health and safety measures, and other services to enhance the pilgrims’ overall experience.
“God has gifted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with an amazing and unique blessing, when he chose to locate the holy city of Makkah, the cradle of revelation and Qibla for all Muslims around the world, where the holy Grand Mosque is located,” said Mr. Mohamed Soliman Ez Rowal, News and Program Editor at the Arab Nations Radio Federation in Algeria. He also noted that God had further blessed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by locating within its borders the city of Madinah, where Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) migrated, built his mosque and was eventually buried”.
Ez Rowal added: “The Kingdom has paid special care and attention to serving Hajj, and during the past few years a large number of extension projects were completed in the Grand Mosques in Makkah and Madinah, in addition to other holy sites, to ensure providing the highest levels of service and comfort to the guests of God and also to increase the capacity of these important holy sites.
“The Kingdom works for the collective benefit of the whole Muslim community in all walks of life including education, reform and many other charity and community projects, which only adds to its impressive record and aims to facilitating servicing Muslims in general and God’s guests specifically,” he noted.
Ez Rowal concluded by thanking Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince – May God protect them – , the Saudi government and the Saudi people who have always shown great interest in Hajj, and provided all possible means to serve pilgrims and facilitate their mission and return home safely. Ez Rowal also prayed for God to save and protect and save the Kingdom, the King and the Saudi people.
