Investors must have 3 years of experience in the field of recruitment
RIYADH, March 24, 2018 – The Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) and the Ministry of Labour and Social Development have announced that foreign investment in domestic workers recruitment agencies and contracting will be permitted.
The measures mean that foreigners can invest in or open recruitment businesses in the Kingdom, they said. The step is intended to enhance competitiveness in the recruitment sector and to provide appropriate and diverse options to clients.
In order to ensure the development of the sector through the transfer of international expertise, SAGIA has stipulated that foreign companies in the field of recruiting or leasing domestic labour should have no less than three years of experience in the field.
They must also maintain a website with all their details in order to improve the service provided to the consumer in the domestic worker recruitment sector.
