The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is blessed with many rich assets. Its geographic, cultural, social, demographic and economic advantages have enabled it to take a leading position in the world.
Vision 2030 is a strategic blueprint that maps out a future for Saudi Arabia based on an economy diversified away from a dependence on oil and driven by the establishment of new private businesses, Public Private Partnerships, privatization of many government services and a modernization of the business legal environment to spur entrepreneurship, local and foreign investment and the creation of new and varied employment possibilities.
The roadmap also encourages local companies to turn their sights to international markets and increased international cooperation with an eye on information transfer and greater business opportunities. Vision 2030 seeks to open the door to more prosperity by loosening investment rules in specific regions and markets and allowing foreign investment and foreign ownership of companies.
Vision 2030 envisions a country vibrant with creativity, alive with expectations for a future full of possibility. It calls for the full participation of Saudi women in society, recognizing the indispensable value of half of the country’s population. Additionally, Vision 2030 recognizes the opportunities of a country whose population is largely under the age of 30. Saudi Arabia will always be a conservative country, but going forward it will be an active member of the international community, competing and cooperating on a common playing field with its counterparts around the world.
